20 May: WORLD FISH MIGRATION DAY - WAVE BYE TO WHITEBAIT

Come wave goodbye to whitebait as they start on their journey as hatching eggs then heading downstream out to sea. Lots of other cool fish to meet, like eels and trout, as we celebrate 'World Fish Migration Day'. Find out why migration is so important to the survival of many fish. Event organised by Department of Conservation, Environment Canterbury, New Zealand Fish Passage Advisory Group, EOS Ecology, Marine Ecology Research Group (University of Canterbury), Working Waters Trust, Fish and Game, and many others lending a hand.
