We need fit volunteers to assist with this research project working with UC and EOS Ecology in Lake Kate Sheppard. You will be placing straw bales at the spring tide mark using warratah stakes and binding wire. This provides temporary inanga (whitebait) spawning sites to compensate for loss of habitat due to the earthquakes and identifies the best places to restore spawning habitat in the future. So a great project to be involved in! To sign up, text Shane: 021 318 548.
